Dear Lorena ISD Community,
As you know, Friday, December 18th is scheduled as an early release day on all campuses. Current COVID-19 cases and quarantines (including transitioning the entire Primary to remote instruction as announced earlier today) have stretched our staff thin in some areas. After discussions with our campus principals and district leadership team, we have made the decision to cancel classes on Friday and end the semester at the conclusion of the school day on Thursday, December 17. All high school extracurricular activities will continue as scheduled.
We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause you, but we wanted to let you know as early as possible to give you time to prepare.
