Seniors Jacob Eaton and Cameron Hesse have both been named to the Association of Texas Small School Bands All-State Concert Band. Hesse has received All-State honors three straight years. This is Eaton’s first All-State recognition.
At Area auditions Hesse was first out of 25 trumpet players. Eaton was second out of 20 trombone players. Freshman Clara Eaton placed sixth out of 29 clarinet players and earned a first alternate spot to State.
Eaton and Hesse will audition for State Chair Placement on February 7 in San Antonio. They will perform with the ATSSB All-State Concert Band on February 10 at the Lila Cockrell Theater in the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. The performance is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
