Senior Kate Roberson has been interested in art since she was a young child. Roberson has been involved in art in school since the seventh grade, and now people across Texas will have a chance to see her work.
Roberson’s artwork has been selected to be part of the Texas Art Education Association’s Youth Art Month Exhibition. The exhibit features pieces from across Texas created by Pre-K through 12th grade students. “I’m just super, super excited and super honored because just being in the youth art month exhibit is a really cool deal, and I’m so glad that I was chosen for it,” Roberson said.
The Bullock State History Museum in Austin will host the exhibit throughout the month of March which is Youth Art Month. The exhibit will feature over 100 original pieces of student artwork.
An awards ceremony will be held at the museum on March 10.
