Lorena sophomore Bethany Ryan won first place in the Teach or Train category at the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America State Competition. She will now take part in the FCCLA National Competition in Seattle, Washington June 29 - July 3, competing against the top two competitors from each state.

Ryan is the first Lorena student to advance to Nationals in seven years.
