Lorena High school Varsity and Junior Varsity cheerleaders spent four days this summer at UCA Cheer Camp in Grapevine. The group had the opportunity to work on different aspects of cheerleading including sideline cheers, camp routines, and spirit routines. 

The LHS cheerleaders also worked on skills, stunts, and choreography for a routine to compete against other cheer squads that attended the camp. The LHS cheerleaders came away with several awards including 1st place Camp Routine, 2nd place Sideline Routine, 2nd place Spirit Routine, and Superior Plaque overall for Traditions.

The cheerleaders also claimed individual awards. Remy Gilbert, Caitlyn Harmon, and Alysen Taylor received the “Pin It Forward” award for  exceptional leadership and positive influence. Emma Dulock, Ella Dulock, Remy Gilbert, Kaizley Crouch, Piper Williams, Kiana Stead, and Aria Dew received All-American awards. Emma Dulock won the Jump award. Mascot Stephanie Mitchell received a spirit stick award twice during the camp.
