SSDC Qualifies for International Competition

The International Space Settlement Design Competition will be conducted in July in Florida. SSDC team members completed an online proposal that included designing, drawing, and modeling their concepts. Their accepted proposal means at least 8 of their team members will be able to join other qualifying teams from around the world for the competition this summer. Congratulations to these students!

Highlights from the Regional Competition:

LHS Students Ben Rager, Harmony Harper, Hunter Isham, and Sara Zawadzki represented LHS exceptionally well at this year's competition. The students worked in teams with students from other regional schools to complete challenges and then presented their work to a panel of engineers and scientists.

Harmony Harper served as Head of Operations on the winning team and will move on to the international competition at Kennedy Space Center in July.

Sponsor Rachal Roessler would like to especially thank the students and parents for their hard work in fundraising to help pay for the competition entrance fees.
